The Institute of Environmental Governance is an initiative of Tanggol Kalikasan, Inc. in collaboration with higher education institutions (HEIs). It aims to provide capacity building opportunities to Local Government Units (LGUs) for better environmental management and governance. Central Luzon State University is among the academic institutions that houses the IEG program.
The CLSU-IEG, in particular, is responsible for local governance, environmental education and management of local communities in Central Luzon through research and extension programs, as well as conducting training seminars on various topics such as basic ecological principles, environmental laws and policies, environmental law enforcement, and resource management. The IEG Training program is fully accredited by the LoGoTRI-PhilNet with four-star rating.
