Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, Head of the Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management, shared her insights on environmentally sustainable strategies during the 3rd Quarter Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Meeting and Assessment of the Department of Trade and Industry-Nueva Ecija held on September 15, 2023 at the DTI Conference Room, Gen Tiñio, Cabanatuan City.
Dr. Abella, discussed the topic on Optimizing SSF Operations through Greening and Sustainability Strategies, to capacitate SSF cooperators on environmentally sustainable strategies that they can adopt in their day-to-day operations.
The session highlighted strategies for sustainable facility management, efficient use of raw materials, environmentally sound waste management, and responsible production. Sustainable facility management involves utilizing resources efficiently and responsibly to reduce their negative effects on the environment while increasing operational effectiveness. Capacitating cooperators on environmentally sustainable strategies is essential for promoting eco-conscious practices within cooperatives.
