As we celebrate National Climate Change Consciousness Week, the Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management organized a special seminar titled “Talakayan para sa Pagbabago ng Klima” for DepEd CLSU Elementary students held on November 20, 2023 at DepEd CLSU Elementary (Lab.) School Gymnasium.
This event was spearheaded by Mr. Daryl A. Juganas and Dr. Shirly C. Serrano, and hosted by Mr. Roberto D. Pelayo. Meanwhile, Mr. Edmark P. Bulaong, Faculty of ICCEM led the discussion and shared valuable insights into the current state of our climate, shedding light on its impacts and potential solutions. His presentation is designed to be interactive, encouraging students to engage in discussions about the local and global effects of climate change.
Adding a creative twist, the activity includes a slogan-making session for the selected students of grades 4-6. This hands-on exercise allows these young minds to express their thoughts and ideas about climate change in a fun and artistic way.
We aim to empower the students with the knowledge and inspiration to make a positive impact. We believe that awareness is the first step towards change. By empowering the youth with knowledge and encouraging them to think creatively, we are nurturing the environmental stewards of tomorrow.
