Central Luzon State University, as represented by Gella Abella, participated in the 2030 Water Security Strategy on November 16, 2023 at White Space, Makati, Metro Manila.
Mr. Tony Del Rosario, President of Coca-Cola Philippines, reiterated the three (3) goals of the company to achieve water security by 2030. The forum was also attended by Senator Grace Poe, Chairperson of the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media, who talked about water governance in the Philippines.
Atty. Juan Lorenzo Tanada, Director for Corporate & Regulatory Affairs, Coca-Cola, briefly presented how the company introduced innovations in their processing to efficiently use water. How Coca-Cola touched and improved the lives of the community was shared by Ms. Ma. Cecilia Alcantara, President of Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. During the Real Talk, the panelists were given the chance to share their knowledge, thoughts and ideas on how to achieve water security and sanitation by 2030. They gave emphasis on water being a basic human right and the importance of raising water literacy in the community. It was also stressed They also answered from and asked questions to the audience.
