A collaborative program through the College of Social Sciences (CASS), Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management (ICCEM), and ASKI Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AMPC) conducted a seminar as part of the KaliCASSan with a theme “Fostering a Cleaner CASS Community through Clean-up Drive” was held today, October 27, 2023 at FPJ Communication Hall.
Dr. Shirly C. Serrano, faculty of ICCEM served as a resource speaker on CLSU Institutional Policy on Waste Management highlighting the proper segregation and impacts of mismanaged solid waste on the environment leading to various issues to human health. Dr. Serrano also emphasized the violations of RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. At the same time, Mr. Froilan M. Gutierrez presented the initiatives of ASKI Foundation Inc. and the Happy Earth Enterprise.
Meanwhile, the Aski Foundation Inc. has also awarded the Central Luzon State University eight trash bins as part of their project partnership with Coca-Cola Philippines.
The partnership of CLSU-CASS, ICCEM, AMPC, and Coca-Cola Philippines will be formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) ceremonial signing on November 24. 2023.
