In a significant stride towards sustainable agriculture and climate resilience, a momentous occasion unfolded as the Farmers’ Field School (FFS) celebrated its graduation ceremony alongside the inauguration of composting facility held on November 17, 2023 at Brgy. Pit-Ao, San Clemente, Tarlac.


On behalf of the CLSU President Dr. Edgar Orden, Dr. Gella Patria Abella delivered the inspirational message and presented certificates to the Farmers’ Field School (FFS) graduates. The program continued with a practical demonstration of the solar shredding machine and a brief tour of the composting beds, complemented by a showcase of the cooperative’s agricultural products, with technical assistance from Ramon Magsaysay Center for Agricultural Resources and Environment Studies (RM-CARES) led by Dr. Maria Luisa Mason as represented by Ms. Ruth Arvizo and from the Center for Renewable Energy and Technology (CREaTe) led by Dr. Wendy Mateo, as represented by Ms. Joanna Padua and Mr. Jayson Gelacio.

Additionally, participants visited the AWS facility of the Local Government Unit (LGU), where a concise presentation highlighted the functions and impactful contributions of the AWS to the municipality.
