Dr. Jaime A. Manalo IV an Australia Grants Alumni grantee joined hands with the Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management during the focus group discussion (FGD) in the Municipality of Carranglan on January 04, 2023.
Mr. Greg Alputan, Municipal Agriculturist of Carranglan, welcomed the research team, setting an optimistic tone for the proceedings. Dr. Manalo IV then took the lead, presenting a brief overview of the project titled “Inventory of Knowledge, Adoption of, Communication Sources on, and Policy Imperatives on Climate-Adaptive Technologies on Rice in Central Luzon as Inputs to Climate Change Adaptation Plans”.
The FGD consisted of 11 farmers, boasting over a decade of experience in farming. Their collective insights became the focal point of discussions, revealing the complex network of climate change adaptation strategies implemented in their hometown.
