- September 11, 2024
The Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management (ICCEM), Central Luzon State University (CLSU) convened a Project Inception Meeting at the ICCEM training room on September 11, 2024, to launch a forward-looking research initiative titled “Framing the Future: A Strategic Framework for CLSU.” Led by Mr. Edmark Bulaong, program leader of Futures Thinking. The meeting featured a re-echo seminar by Mr. Juderick Poblete, offering valuable insights for the project.
One of the key components of this program is integrating “Kanin, Ulam at Serbisyo”, for the region which emphasizes the development and commercialization of locally sourced food products and services. The “Kanin, Ulam at Serbisyo” initiative will fund three projects at CLSU focused on developing and commercializing local, sustainable food products and services.
Prof. Geraldine Tayag will lead a project focused on tofu-based products, Prof. Marycris A. Manalang will develop a centralized repository for CLSU’s R&D projects, and Dr. Shirly C. Serrano will work on creating products using Katmon. The highlight of the meeting was the issuance of the notices to proceed for these projects.
