A collaborative meeting involving Mandanus Agencies and Partner Institutions took place on September 26, 2023, at the Acropolis North Water Camp & Country Club in Cabanatuan City as part of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Project for the year 2023.
Representing the Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management (ICCEM), Ms. Kathrina M. Villar, Science Research Assistant, participated in the 3rd PTWG Meeting of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Project. ICCEM has been consistently contributing to the project through its several activities during the 3rd quarter. ICCEM Initiatives include Information, Education, and Communication activities aimed at enhancing environmental awareness. Furthermore, ICCEM has actively supported the rehabilitation of Manila Bay by organizing a clean-up drive and conducting tree planting activities in Nueva Ecija.
The meeting’s agenda included presentations on the status of solid waste management, liquid waste management, the progress of the weekly clean-up drive, the salin tubig project, updates regarding the solar water supply projects, and a comprehensive discussion on the drainage master plan.
Among the attendees were representatives from CENRO Muñoz, CENRO Cabanatuan City, local government units (LGUs), and various Mandanus Agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Works and Highways (DPWH), Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), and Palayan City Water District (PCWD).
