Members of the Technical Working Group who prepared the CLSU-LUDIP attended the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) meeting held on September 14, 2023 at Greene Manor Condotel, Lazatin Boulevard, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The meeting aims to provide updates/progress of LUDIP of each SUC in the region. Each SUC provided a presentation of any progress, modifications, revisions, or changes in their LUDIP. Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, Chair of CLSU-LUDIP Committee, Mr. Mac Gyver B. Afan and Mr. Onasis Peru, members, presented the enhanced CLSU-LUDIP, integrating the climate and disaster risk assessment done by Project SAFER_U.
Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan provides appropriate space varied land uses while preserving the environment. It is found to be an excellent measure for the development and sustainability of an area. SUCs LUDIP Act’, is an act requiring state universities and colleges (SUCs) to prepare and implement a land use and development plan. According to this act, all land use for infrastructure projects that include the construction of dormitories for students, parks, and housing sites for employees in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) must comply with the LUDIP.
